Wydawnictwo WAM is the oldest Catholic publisher in Poland, which annually publishes more than 200 books and resumes about 150 titles. WAM mainly publishes: catechisms, prayer books, dissertations and books for children and young people. One of their most important published works was the Holy Scriptures, translated by Jakub Wujek SI.
Tasks and objectives
Deon.pl is a portal edited by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits). The portal provides current and meaningful information about the country, the world and the life of the Church. Due to the implemented Web 2.0 solutions, readers have the opportunity to participate in the creation of the site. After creating an account, users can write articles, create photo galleries, comment and participate in discussions in thematic groups. Moreover, users have the ability to find and invite friends.
The ‘articles’ module has been linked with other modules, which allows users to connect the article with selected gallery, text or video, as well as a survey.
Logged in users have the ability to personalise the home page.
Activity in the service (uploading news, registration, inviting a user) is rewarded. Users collect points, which can be exchanged for a discount in the online store.
