The inaugural Subcarpathian Web.Master contest

The Subcarpathian Web.Master contest is another educational initiative supported by Ideo. The aim of the competition is to promote the development of IT expertise among junior high school students and students from the subcarpathian province.
27 May 2016

The competition was organised by the Institute for Information Society Development and the High School of Energy in Rzeszów. Ideo supports the project by being a technological partner of the event, engaging in its promotion and supporting the competition from a technical point of view.

"Most of the current jobs require good computer skills, and because of the increase of computers in the workplace, programming skills become necessary. Thus, the computer is no longer just an element of fun for the younger generation, but it becomes a working tool that shapes their future. If we add to this a passion which the contestants show, then we can talk about a generation of young professionals"- summarises Łukasz Szymański, Head of Marketing and PR at Ideo Sp. z o.o.

The competition consisted of two stages. The first stage was carried out using a special e-learning platform -, prepared by Ideo. This platform in the initial stage allowed for substantial quantities of young enthusiasts to participate. Over 300 students took part in the on-line test, and the best 30 were invited to the second invigilated stage.

On 24th of May 2016 at the High School of Energy in Rzeszów, the final of the first ever Subcarpatian Web.Master contest was held, during which the finalists had the opportunity to present their knowledge in practice.
The competition proved to be a huge success, and we are already planning next year’s contest.
