The Grupa Azoty Group is the leader of the chemical industry in Poland and one of the leading partners on the European markets. The Group comprises of the four the biggest chemical plants in Poland, sixty other Polish companies and production companies from Germany and Senegal. The Group has its own logistical infrastructure as well as the research, design and service facilities.
Tasks and objectives
At the client's request, we have implemented the expanded, comprehensive intranet system designed from scratch.
The aim of this implementation was to improve the internal communication between employees, content distribution and internal interaction.
The platform is based on the proprietary, modular Edito CMS system. At the client’s request, it maps the structure of sections and departments in organisation. The process of assigning the employee to the group can be done in its individual account. In order to make their everyday work easier, we enabled the automatic log-in within the domain.
The tool enables the publication of short questionnaires which help to understand and achieve employees’ expectations. However, the mailing platform module helps to manage the subscription as well as prepare and dispatch messages to the subscribers.
The intranet website shares the advanced full-text search engine which is an important navigating element. It helps to find interesting information by providing a word or key phrases. The search engine was improved by filters: latest news, events, information sites, gallery and documents. The search engine view includes also contact search and document database. The CMS system gathers statistics of searched phrases, which helps to understand employees’ current needs.
As part of the project, the Ideo Agency conducted the following activities:
- Pre-implementation analysis – specification of the company’s needs and objectives
- implementation of the system that takes into account the client’s individual needs
- integration with external IT systems and import of data
- training for users of the system
- technical support after the implementation and further development of the system
